I used to read him more frequently, in large part because I often disagreed with him. I like reading reasonable people with whom I can reasonably disagree. It's a good brain stretch, and it helps me stay out of the proverbial bubble.
But yes, lately? I'm not sure if it's his intention to drive additional traffic through rage-clickbait, but I wouldn't bet against it, at least in some cases.
