My wife keeps asking me questions, and I have to answer many of them with "I don't know either." I have a few issues with the adaptation, but having that sense of possibility is a nice benefit.
I hadn't thought about your point - if everyone else is at the Eye of the World, there's really nothing for them to do. That helps make sense of why they shed everyone else along the way.
Is Moiraine shielded or stilled? I thought the latter - and that maybe Nynaeve will cure her, to echo that plot from the books.
I don't get the same vibe from Perrin that you do. They do lay the "berserker/pacifist" dilemma on a bit thick, though. I assume he'll be key in the Hunt for the Horn - though I'm curious whether they keep the Ingtar/Rand connection or give it over entirely to Perrin.
Overall, I'm quite enjoying it. I'll be curious to see what they come up with for season two. My major question there is whether they build to Falme or if they hit that midseason and carry on to Tear...
