Taking Off

Bon voy-a-gee, as Bugs Bunny would say...

This hawk sighted during one of The Pip’s baseball games is actually landing, not taking off, but it’s good enough for blogging.

Basically just a short programming note: We’re doing a big family vacation, a last hurrah before SteelyKid starts college at the end of the month¹. I am going to be quite deliberately avoiding social media of all kinds, including Substack, with the possible exception of taunting photos of cool places posted to Instagram/Facebook.

I’ll be back in a couple of weeks with the sort of broadened mindset one gets from travel. Or something. Anyway, try not to burn everything down while we’re away.
