How are we counting anniversaries? June 2002 to June 2026 is 24 years, no?
When my wife turned 39, I invited everyone to a party to celebrate the beginning of her 40th year. Maybe that's the spirit in which the blog anniversary (and the wedding anniversary - which, btw, note the typo in the footnote saying you got married in 2022) is being celebrated. For the record, my wife was not thrilled with the phrasing, though your blog (and Kate) may feel differently.
Also, as someone who's been reading since the ScienceBlog days, I appreciate that you've kept it up!
You were 5 months ahead of me, though I also had a static non-bloggy thing up at Swarthmore before the blog. Happy anniversary!
Goodness, it has been a minute. I remember I found your blog via Making Light, way back when. Speaking of which, did you see Jane Yolen died? :-(
Yeah, I saw that. Total bummer.
Science Blogs was a fantastic era. Thanks for your contributions!

IT’s the end of my 25th year as faculty, which is why I had that number in my head. So, yes, start of the 25th year is the better phrasing.
(I needed to look up that post for a Thing, and was startled by the coincidence of dates, leading to this post…)
Yeah I could swear I was reading posts about them as a married couple before 2022...
Fixed that typo, too. Not my day for fast typing...
Happy blogiversary! And many more!
Always a pleasure!
Congratulations. I'd been faculty there sixteen years previous to your start. But blogs didn't exist before the Internet.
